2026 Travel Baseball

Tryouts for the 2026 7U Tournament Team will be held on Wednesday May 13^th @5:30pm @ Delran Community Park – Turf Field. Please read the email below in its entirety prior to registering.

Delran Baseball uses the players’ age as of April 30, 2026 to determine eligibility. In order to be eligible to attend the 7U Tryout and potentially participate on the team, the player must be 7 years old as of April 30, 2026.

Registration

All interested players must register via the Delran AA registration site (www.delranaa.org). Registrations for the tryouts are scheduled to close on Thursday May 7^th @ midnight. Unregistered players will not be permitted to participate.

Additionally, see below for some considerations and guidelines related to participating on the teams.

Eligibility & Commitment

Tryout Attendance – attendance at the tryout is mandatory. Please contact [email protected] or [email protected] if you are unable to attend but wish to be considered for the team. We ask that all players participating in the evaluations wear their current Delran AA Coach Pitch jersey. This will help to easily identify and score the players during the evaluation.
Residency – Players must have residency in Delran in order to be eligible to try out.
Age – All players must be 7 years old as of April 30, 2026. All players selected for this team will need to supply a copy of their birth certificate to the Head Coach prior to participating in any games or tournaments. Failure to provide a valid birth certificate will result in immediate removal from the team.
Requirements – All players chosen for the team must also be registered for 2026 Delran AA Rec Baseball
Player & Parent Commitment:
The team will participate in 4 tournaments (dates TBD), 1 of which is hosted by Delran. The season could run through mid-July. The team will also play non-tournament games as well. Practices will be scheduled once the team has been selected (some practices may be held during the Coach Pitch Rec season but will never conflict with Rec).
Parents, please be advised that if your child is involved with other social or sports activities, the coaches expect that the kids trying out & selected to the teams are strongly committed to playing Travel Baseball with Delran over this period. If a vacation is planned or prior commitments are scheduled, please discuss with the Head Coach ASAP.
All parents will be expected to assist with covering snack bar shifts for tournaments hosted by Delran Baseball in the Spring/Summer, most notably our Annual Delran 7U Slugfest, which will be held July 9th - 12th as well as the Delran Memorial Day Slugfest (May 22nd - 25th).

Cost

The total cost to play for the 7U Tournament Team is $175. This fee covers jersey tops, hats and a set amount of costs associated with tournament fees among other things. Depending on the number of tournaments a team decides to play, or the total cost of selected tournaments, teams may need to collect additional fees from each player. If this is necessary, the Head Coach will discuss this with the team parents.

Tryout Process

Head Coaches from the Coach Pitch Division, select Travel team coaches from other age groups, and the Delran Baseball Commissioner will be present to evaluate the players.
Players will be evaluated based on their performance during Infield, Outfield and Batting drills. *Please note that we follow Cal Ripken Bat Rules and all bats must have the USA Baseball stamp (no “loaded” bats).
Team roster will be announced within 5 days of the tryout

Coaching

If you are interested in Head Coaching this team, please contact the Delran Baseball Commissioner ([email protected] or [email protected]) prior to Thursday May 7^th. If deemed necessary by the Delran Baseball Commissioner, interviews will be conducted. The Head Coach will be announced after the tryouts & player selections have been completed.

Lastly, please keep in mind that participation on a Delran Travel Team is strictly voluntary and everyone trying out will not be selected. We will always make an effort to form a 2^nd team (i.e. “B” team) when the numbers and level of interest allow it. If this opportunity arises it will be announced shortly after the 7U team roster is announced.
