Registration Listing

2026 Travel Baseball

Tryouts for the 2026 8U Travel Baseball Team will be held on Saturday March 14^th at 9:00am at Delran Community Park. The tryout will be conducted on the Turf Field.

Delran Baseball uses the players’ age as of April 30, 2026 to determine eligibility for this tryout.

Registration

All interested players must register via the Delran AA registration site (www.delranaa.org). Registrations for the tryouts are scheduled to close on Tuesday March 10th @ midnight. Unregistered players will not be permitted to participate. The cost for those that make the team is outlined below.

Additionally, see below some considerations and guidelines related to participating on this team.

Eligibility & Commitment

· Tryout Attendance – attendance at the tryout is mandatory. Please contact [email protected] if you are unable to attend but wish to be considered for the team.

· Residency – Players must meet the residency requirements for travel sports as defined by the Delran AA By-Laws in order to be eligible to try out for a Delran travel team.

· Requirements – All players chosen for the team must also be registered for 2026 Delran AA Rec Baseball & participate in at least 50% of their Rec games to remain eligible for the team.

· Player & Parent Commitment:

o The Travel Baseball Season will begin in March and can run into mid-July.

o Players should be interested/committed to playing travel baseball in a highly competitive environment.

o Parents, please be advised that if your child is involved with other social or sports activities, the coaches expect that the kids trying out & selected to the teams are strongly committed to playing Travel Baseball with Delran over this period. If a vacation is planned or prior commitments are scheduled, please discuss with the Head Coach ASAP.

o All parents will be expected to assist with covering snack bar shifts for tournaments hosted by Delran Baseball in the Spring/Summer.

Tryout Process

· Coaches from the prior year District/Travel teams, past District Coaches, the Delran Baseball Commissioner and possibly others from outside of Delran Baseball will be present to evaluate the players.

· Players will be evaluated based on their performance during Infield, Outfield and Batting drills. *Please note that we follow Cal Ripken Bat Rules and all bats must have the USA Baseball stamp (no “loaded” bats).

· Team roster will be announced within 5 days of the tryout

Cost

The total cost to play Travel Baseball for the 8U team will be $430 in 2026. The total fee will be collected shortly after rosters are announced. Please keep in mind that in order to keep our costs at this level, we will continue to host multiple tournaments in the Spring/Summer. These tournaments help subsidize the travel season and keep the costs down.

The fee is broken down into two main categories:

· Registration Fee –$245 per player – This fee covers umpire fees, hats and a set amount of costs associated with tournament fees among other things. Tournament fees are the biggest expense. Depending on the number of tournaments a team decides to play, or the total cost of selected tournaments, teams may need to collect additional fees from each player. If this is necessary, Coaches will discuss this with their team parents.

· Uniform Cost - $185 for the uniform package. This includes 2 full uniforms (2 jerseys and 2 pants) plus a 3^rd crew jersey. All 3 shirts will contain the players last name on the back

Coaching

If you are interested in Head Coaching this team, please contact the Delran Baseball Commissioner ([email protected]) prior to Tuesday March 10^th. If deemed necessary by the Delran Baseball Commissioner, interviews will be conducted. The Head Coach will be announced after the tryouts & player selections have been completed.

Lastly, please keep in mind that participation on a Delran Travel Team is strictly voluntary and everyone trying out will not be selected. We will always do our best to allow everyone an opportunity to play on a Travel Team. However, depending on the number of interested players, there are no guarantees that we will be able to form an unlimited number of teams at any level.
